SW Florida here . Lots of Florida people on this board. Heaven, I go to Key West every summer to snorkel. It would be an awesome place to live if it was not so expensive. My husband lived there as a child.

I live in a coastal community outside of Vancouver B.C. Canada. The population of 30,000 is spread out over a large area but no one is far from the edge of the sea.
Oh yeah, we get NO snow to speak of 'ever'...but we do get rain upon rain upon rain in the winter. Summer is wonderful here. Warm with a slight sea breeze and I am able to grow palm trees, bananas and other hardy topical plants.
Love this place!

=====================================

Well it's here.... When you were a kid your teacher had you and your fellow classmates put a pin on the map to display where everyone came from. Well that same idea is now in place on BirdBoard.

You can place a pin on the global map of displaying where your from. Soon we will be able to see
how far and wide birdboards reach is around the world.

Click Here to Place Your Member Pin

-------------------------------------------------------

To add your marker to the map (member map link located at the top bar of every page) simply click on 'Your Entry' (to the right of 'Show Map'), then zoom in on your location. You CAN use your mouse, click on the map, and move the map to a more appropriate location, then continue to zoom in. You can also double-click the map in a specific spot and that spot will become the center of the map (say you click on the right side twice, and where you clicked is now the center).

Once you are satisfied with your location, type something in in the 'marker text' box, then hit 'Insert Your Information'.

Now to VIEW your entry, simply close the browser, and open up a new one to the BB Map. You will now be able to view your entry.
