Introduction

Hi Everyone! New to the Board and thought I'd get to know everyone. I'm from TN. Right now I have 5 birds, a Grey, (Jordan) Severe McCaw (Ziggy) 2 Blue Front Amazons (Clyde and Rosie) and a tiel named Baby. Originally I started a rescue in Macon County TN and had 17 birds along with many dogs cats, horses anyway the works. Last Feb we had a tornado come thru and lost our home along with the rest of the parrots several dogs and cats. We moved to a different county in West TN and my sister in law took over the rescue, in case you'd like to take a look 2x2ranch.petfinder.org We stillended up moving 10 horses 50 dogs 8 cats and various chickens what a circus!! Hope to make some new friends on this list and help out if needed. Beckie

My name is Barbara and I am from Colorado. I am a new owner of a sweet 8mth old African Grey named Honey. She makes me laugh everyday with the new words that she is saying. She dances with my husband already. We have had her for roughly a month and I am anxious to begin training her. I waited to give her time to get as used to us as we are getting to her. I also have 6 canaries which are also a joy with there beautiful songs... Glad to be here.

I'm from Phila., PA, USA.
My sweethearts are JJ (African Grey), Sunshine Lemonade (Cockatiel) and Simon (Lorikeet) is new to me and I have no idea how to care for this beautiful bird but I'll learn everything I can---as I did for the other two. I adopted Cody Bird (a cockatiel) 15 years ago and never knew how old he/she was. I had him/her for 11 years and he/she passed in November 1998 and I was so grief-stricken, I swore I couldn't do it again. But....I did and I'm SO GLAD because birds are simply divine!!
