Hi, Gator -- are you anywhere near Desitin, FL or the islands along the coast near there? I love it there and if they didn't have so many bad storms, would move there. I hope this year is a mild year and very pleasant.

And to BirdCrazy66, I live in NH over the border and used to work in Cambridge for many years. If you know of any expos going on down there, please let me know!

Yep. We are about 30 minutes north of Destin. Little secret...The storms are not really that bad or frequent as the news and weather channels would lead people to believe. Last year when we had no named storms, everyone on the news acted shocked. I reality, that is a normal year for us. Every 8 or 9 years we have a rash of storms that come up this way. Most of the storms are tropical storms or small cat 1 hurricanes with a couple big ones that come close. Most of us sit here and laugh when we see the weather channel and news getting so hyped up because there is a storm in the Atlantic or Gulf.
