My name is Dan, and I'am 2 days away from picking up my little female green cheek. Most of my research, actually, all of it came from this site!. I am amazed at the wealth of knowledge I gained from all you great and generous people you are. I have read many posts, in which everybody say's they make them feel just like family and nothing could be further from the truth!! All of you should be proud! Thanks to my new family! Thank you all with your very kind congrats!! we have had our 8 week old female green cheek " Maya" for five days now. What can I tell you, She's an absolute GEM!. What a joy, our one year old just loves her. Maya has already learnd to fly to us on call, which is amazing since I've only had bugies my whole life. We live in an apartment with quite a large open concept living space, so this gives lots of great flying time!. Today I introduced her to those little plastic balls with the bells inside, She went CRAZY! for them wrestling and rolling all over the kitchen countertop!. My wife and I seen just what people have been right all along in that " They are the clowns! in the bird world. Years of great enjoyment. I'll post pics of her as soon as I can. Oh Hi! Those pics are so cute!! welcome - just watch her as she grows, Green Cheeks go thru a nippy phase and the nips are hard for small children. My grandkids got scared and wouldn't hold anymore. Keep her away from the baby when she goes thru it and your baby wont end up being afraid of her. Oh and they like Fettuccine Alfredo,LOL!!
