Question Hi,I love eckies

Hi,Im new to the board,from south australia.Does somebody have a good soaked seed recipe for ecklectus?I would love the correct seed mix and procedure that you use.Thanks Eckies

Thanks for the welcome,just want my eckies to have the best! Its sooo hot here (40 degrees plus) ive been stressing about keeping my avairy (6) eckies cool with water spray.My pet eckie Louis is 4 and weve only had him a week so hes stressed too.Ive got to get him to a vet soon cause his nails are so long but I guess another week or two will be fine when hes a bit more settled.

That is on the warm side!!! It must be your summertime now - we are trying to get out of our wintertime and start spring here!

Your so lucky, its freezing here, 2 feet of snow! athe snowbanks are as tall as me its horriable, and freezing. Good for the enviorment though. Welcome to the board you'll like ti here everyone is really nice and positive. I wouldn't know about ekkies, but im sure lots do on here! welcome!

I feel for you, 40degs is what normally we get in North Queensland where i live but this summer has been strange and the highest we have had is 35 and that was only for a couple of days. Make sure you have bird baths and water sprays, its stressful for humans in that heat and we don't have feathers.

Yeah summer wasnt too hot this time but i know is SA it looked a bit on the hot side. I'm not sure what seed mix is right for ekkies but i think they are cool too...i know some breeders numbers i can give you and they can tell you the right mix and such. Im a queenslander so hi fellow aussie!

Hi,well it seems were in for another week of 38 to 40 degrees and south aussies are already heat mad.Love some of that snow!We have bird baths (that the eckies wont use)and sprayers in the aviaries but they cant be switched on till I get home from work.Am trying to work out how to get pictures of my lot on,any tips?

Hi,I LOVE queensland but couldnt move cause of kids new schools.SO we came home from holidaying there,ripped up the garden and are making our own queensland!Would love contact with the eckie people for seed mix both soaked and dry.Thanks
