Thanks for the welcome, just want my eckies to have the best! Its sooo hot here (40 degrees plus) ive been stressing about keeping my avairy (6) eckies cool with water spray. My pet eckie Louis is 4 and weve only had him a week so hes stressed too.Ive got to get him to a vet soon cause his nails are so long but I guess another week or two will be fine when hes a bit more settled.

That is on the warm side!!! It must be your summertime now - we are trying to get out of our wintertime and start spring here!
Do your ekkies live outside? If you have any pictures I'd love to see your flock!

I feel for you, 40degs is what normally we get in North Queensland where i live but this summer has been strange and the highest we have had is 35 and that was only for a couple of days. Make sure you have bird baths and water sprays, its stressful for humans in that heat and we don't have feathers.

Yeah summer wasnt too hot this time but i know is SA it looked a bit on the hot side. I'm not sure what seed mix is right for ekkies but i think they are cool too...i know some breeders numbers i can give you and they can tell you the right mix and such. Im a queenslander so hi fellow aussie!
