Hi everyone,
I am from New Brunswick, Canada and I am very proudly owned by 5 goffins cockatoo and a citron cockatoo. My birds mean more to me than anything in this world. I love them very much and am battling right now to keep one of my goffins alive. He was given the wrong meds and poisoned. I have had a real struggle and we are not out of the woods yet. It's going on 4 months now. I'm patiently waiting for the results of his second set of blood work to come back, plus two aspirates of his wing and foot, where he has developed a severe swelling. Please pray for my little boy.

Carolyn

Hi Leah,
Thanks for the welcome. Oh, I love my Toos more than life itself, but somedays, I sure need earplugs. LOL, one of my little goffins, PJ, who is entered in the contest, sure has a good set of lungs on her, lol, but I love her to pieces. I have a 2 year old goffins, named Pebbles, whom I handraised from 10 weeks old and she is sooooooo spoiled, lol, but they are all spoiled. I love being owned by cockatoos. I wouldn't have it any other way. I think the reason I love the Toos so much is because they are the species that is passed around and rehomed so much. I also have a rescue that isn't even tame, but he is very happy and all my birds are out of their cages all day long from the time they get up until they go to bed at night. I make all their own toys and cook for them 3 times a day. LOL, they even have satellite with a 31" tv.

I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I hope everything turns out okay. There is an umbrella cockatoo and the petstore that I go to that I am completely in love with. If I had the money, I would bring him home. You have some lucky birds to be living with someone who loves them as much as you do. Hope to hear more about them and see pics.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I just got the test results back yesterday and My Matt is going to be ok. He has a slight infection from the toxins still, but have started him back on Baytril. I'm stuffing him to get his weight back up, lol.

I also had an umbrella cockatoo, but lost her to a terrible accident at 8 months old. The bottom fell out of my world, when God took her from me. I have always wanted another one, but just can't afford it. I do have a citron though and she is a mommy's girl. I was able to upload 5 of my birds, but can't upload the citron. It says a maximum of 5 files. Not sure about message boards, lol.

Hi & Welcome

I love Goffins. Your birds are lovely & your photos are great.

-next time just start anther reply & add more photos! - then again you could throw a photo or 2 in with the use of the http [yellow mountain icon] box [see the reply thread task bar.]

The bird bath feeder is a great idea - you should show it off in the DIY forum.
