Hi, new here looking for a new family member...

Hi all,
I am here in the hopes of finding a breeder in my area.

I've owned Budgies and a wonderful, sweet natured Cockatiel named Creed. My sweet Cockatiel (whom I handfed and weaned) wandered out the door one day and I haven't had a bird since 4 years ago. I am yearning for a feathered friend to join our family.

I am interested in a Cockatiel or a Senegal. More so towards a Tiel. I am located in Carlsbad, California (San Diego County).

Any recommendations for breeders in my area would be great.

Just a consideration -- there are lots of re-homes available down here, especially from soldiers/sailors/etc being deployed. Also several parrot rescues in SD. I think we also have a good selection of breeders, maybe check with the local avian vets?

Go for a tiel, really, they are such adorable birds and even the psycho vicious babies tame great. My tiel bluffs but gets over himself cos he knows we dont care, he is so great. He's 17 years old and still young lol.
