Talking Sammythegreyt

I am Sammythegreyt after my CAG Sammy. I also have a Blue Headed Pionus Scooter. I have aquired another CAG given to me from a guy hard on his luck. He had named it Nacho Libre. I renamed the bird Ollie or Olivia? Nacho is not a name for an intelligent and sensitive bird as the Grey. I am not sure if I am going to keep Oliie or wait until this guy gets his act together?
Cags are very demanding and a handful and unfortunaltely, Sammy has picked up on some bad habits. This being only a 10 month old bird I am working on the problems.
Sammy My CAG is a rare one. He loves people and likes them to let him step-up. I was lucky enough to wean him on my own. I did 3 months of research, books, the net, bird stores... He started talking at 6 months old a few words and lots of whistles. He watches Cartoon Network and has learned the theme from ED, EDD and EDDY as his first complex whistle.
He also enjoys watching Nicklodeon and likes to say Backpack from Dora the explorer cartoon. He gets outside almost everyday and has a sunlight lamp in his room. He goes shopping with me to the stores that allow him. I am not sure how long this will last since he is only 4. I hear that CAGS change when they become sexually active and he has already started throwing up food near me.
well, that's about all folks

Welcome to Birdboard. Sammy does sound like a real intelligent bird. I can't want to hear more stories about him and maybe see a pic or two.

Welcome!!!! Sammy sounds like he's a lot of fun. Good for you, taking in those birds. I admire people taking in birds that need help for a variety of reasons.

Talking Thanks for the warm welcome!

I am working on adding some photo's of Sammy to the site. Having some problems with pics taking on my phone camera?? they are e-mailed to my computer and are not in the correct format I guess? I do have one of Sammy on one of our outtings when he was still just a baby. He is at the beach and I have not seen a pic like that yet so you should be able to spot it easy!

Thanks Again for all the warm welcomes!
I have more to say~ I will need to do it in a new thread though
