Hello from Northern California...
or would it be considered Central? There's so much debate about which "side" my city belongs to.
My name is Sumiko. I am a college student majoring in biology and working part-time at a local pet store. I am also a chinchilla breeder and I enjoy attending chinchillas shows and learning from the experienced breeders. My family and I are the proud parents of a female rose-breasted cockatoo named Phoenix. She is just a love and I'm looking forward to learning from everyone on here and hearing stories of other Galahs like our Phoenix. A young picture of Phoenix (~6 months of age): ![]() A more recent one - her plumage is now much brighter!

Hi Sumiko and welcome! Phoenix is just gorgeous, you must be so proud of her. I don't have a galah but I do have two chinchillas! Bob and Posy are my sweeties when it comes to furry friends and I can understand why you would love yours so much. Thanks for sharing the photos and enjoy yourself here.
All the best, Heather |

Well, IMO, anything around Sacramento or San Fransisco is Central California! I grew up about 165 miles north of Sacramento, and there's still plenty of miles left from there to Oregon!
I've got family (and friends of family) who live in Manteca! I sort of know the area, and may actually be in the SF area soon! I gotta say though, Phoenix is gorgeous!!! And welcome to BB!
