Hello Everyone:

I am a new member. I have raised birds all my life. Currently we have a baby Budgie and he is a true miracle.

What a wonderful yet heartbreaking story about Baby Peter, and it had me in tears near the end - your love for him shines through in every word. My deepest condolences about his passing, but also what a great honor to have spent the past 11 years with him. They certainly are little people in feathered suits.

We'd love to see pics and hear stories of your current baby budgie.

Such a sweet story! Budgies will always hold a special place in my heart. They were the birds I begged for growing up and finally shared my life with during college. Baby Peter sounds like he was quite a character!

Hi Barbara and welcome to the group! What a lovely story about Peter. I grew up with a budgie called Benny who was also a great talker and character and lived to the ripe old age of 16. The day he passed was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. What lucky people we are to have known such birds. <hugs>

Hi everyone. I'm still trying to learn how to use the BB. Thank you for your comments. I have a few tapes of Baby Peter and his vocabulary consisted of over 400 words at last count. Just trying to learn how to post it. It's on a tape cassette.

In the meantime, I will be posting tomorrow. Look for it. I think you will find it amazing.

Our new baby budgie, Bogie, has made a large impact on our lives. Of course filling Baby Peter's shoes is a very big job but he's working at it.

Tomorrow I will post a new thread of an amazing event which occured the other day entitled "THE KISS OF AN ANGEL". I hope all of the BB take the time to read it.
