Wink Canary owner from SC

Hello everyone!

I am a new member of this message board. I have been a bird fancier for over 15 years. I haven't owned a bird in quite a while. My mom gave me my first love bird and that was when I was a child. I lost my mother back in December in a car accident. I purchased my first canary a little over a month ago. He's a yellow American Singer. He's so cute and adorable. I love him so much already. I am currently looking for him a mate without any success, so hopefully that will change in the future.

Okay, enough of my little guy. I also have a Bichon Frise that is 2.5 years old. He looks like a teddy bear, but he knows that he's the top dog. He's got a little attitude. Right now he's cuddled up with my husband on the sofa. That's what they always do before bedtime.

Here are some other things of interest, I love to watch films (of all genres), have a green thumb, love to travel and go on shopping trips (not always at the same time), enjoy swimming, and making new friends.

Okay, I guess that takes care of my interests. Let me know what you think!

-Layla

Welcome to BB! I have a lot of fun on this board. I have one male canary that flies free in a bird room with two gouldian finches and 8 cockatiels. Look in the cockatiel section under a post called Cockatiel Bath, and you can hear my canary singing. He's real hard to get a picture of, since he moves around so fast.

Thank you for the compliment. Your birdie is gorgeous too. I did not know that they were having a bird fair next month! That's definitely good to know. Will they be selling birds, or is it just informative? I will most likely go and see what's going on since I live in Columbia.

Hey there. Thanks for the compliment. I watched your video on you tube. What a sweet baby that you have. I wish that I could handle my Canary, but he doesn't like to be touched. I always enjoy his beautiful songs, and he's fun to watch fly around his aviary.

They will be selling birds, cages, accesories and toys. I think they have speakers there as well. It is August 18 and 19 at the Jamil Temple. I will be there, I just don't know which day yet.
