Smile Hi .. I'm new

I'm introduce myself as I just join the birdboard not too long ago .. I used to have a parrot(orange wing amazon) .. since he was 4 month old he is now 27 yrs old .. my mom has him since I got married 9 yrs ago .. as she is very attached to the bird .. so I had to leave him with her as I moved to where my husband lived .. I'm from Texas ... So 9 years later I decided to find another parrot ... I went thru the phrase trying to decided what kind of parrot I wanted .. I thought about parrotlet but I found out they are so tiny things and cute .. but decided aganist it cause I have two deaf cats thinking "oh goody a birdy" .. !! I want find one bigger then that where they gonna think twice " Ehhh I don't think I wanna messed with him or her they're meany"...!! I decided I may go with 5 different kind to chose from.. Goffin Cockatoo .. Hahn's Macaw... Mini Macaw ... Yellow Collared .. and Eclectus.. kinda hard to decided which one to get that can talk with some vocubulary words they can pick up as I'm having a hard time trying to find one that not too high to buy one .. I've already check one for adoption in the ads and Craigslist ... but I can't afford what they're asking for.. Kinda disappointed . Well ..I'm going to try keep looking and price check for one that might be reasonable to afford one .. I had been reading the bird board post... and I enjoyed the things that been funny had me laughing and some are sad brought me to tears as I was impressed all the story telling you guys wrote .. Someday when I find the right bird for me I can be comfortable with the right price .. I will keep you posted if I come across one .. and bring him or her home .. Um do anyone might have any idea which one might be good to start with .. ? I know some of the goffin cockatoos might be expensive and mini macaws too. It been 27 years I bought my parrot .. and don't know where to begin to start with .. I dont want to get unween handfed baby.. as I don't know much about it as I'm not very experience. I'd rather have a bird that weened and lot of feather to start with... Hmm.. I'd better quit talking or writing as I don't want to make it too long on the board.. have a nice evening ..

welcome , Marwa
Here I go again going on and on about Greencheek Conures....... They are wonderful little birds and will not put up with anything from cats. Mine chase the cat around the house every day. The cat is not allowed on any surfaces my birds have claimed for themselves, which includes....everything!
They are very cute and entertaining, maybe a little nippy.
......And they do not cost nearly as much as their larger cousins.
