I got lost

Well I'm sure my first post confused those poor souls that read it ..

Hi all I've always been a bird freak since I was a young lad.

But only as our children now are leaving the nest we've gone bird crazy heres a repost from my political web site .......

I have many birds .
4 Cockatiels , 3 Canary's , and 2 Finchies.
Luckly I have a large master bedroom . 24'X26' not including the stair
foray and large walk in closet .

So not only do I run my Small Business here but I have 4 large cages to house my birds.

Here are some of my babies

Our First Bird is our best singer
Tweety is a male yellow Canary .

Heres a video of tweety going off

Jerry a Red Canary and Sarge a Yellow Fancy Canary

Both are to young to sing yet ...

Heres our first Cockatiel Silvester.
He's a male Latino Cockatiel

Silvester was a bargin , he was suffering from Blood feathers at a local pet store that just didn't have a clue of what to do .
Frankly he was lucky to be alive , if blood feathers are not treated they usually bleed to death . Long story short the poor fellow was locked up for 3 months in isolation until we brought him home .
He bite everyone that came near him at the story they were getting ready to put him down because they thought he was unmanagable .
Once home I plucked his blood feathers well you see he turned into a baby .. of corse now he only wants to be near you he's not into being petted.
Next came Snow White and Daisy
Snow white is a 6 year old female Albino Latino Cockatiel
We bought her from a breeder show .
The breeder said he was selling her because after 6 years of trying to get her to bread with one of his Male Latino Cockatiel she just took to much to humans , and wouldn't bond with any of his males .

Snowwhite is a dolly and just a love . She is the most tammist of all of our birds . And the one when we take them for walks that gets the most
attention from people .

as for breeding her :D

well you meet Silvester I guess the breeder never had a male
as Handsome as him ;)

Here she is sitting on a clutch of eggs now in there second week ;)

Silvester has been a great hubby and father to be .
He spends his fair share of time in the nest on the eggs.
Yesterday when Snow White came out the first thing that got my attention is just after getting herslf something to drink and eat she attempted to go right back in the box , Slivester wouldn't let her ,
then she came out on perch and called to me I went over started petting
her only to be bite hard by Silverster who had like a whip struck me from inside the nest.

Heres Silvester Guarding the nest

Now for Daisy he's the family favorit . we got him just after being weened.
We where looking for a female normal to bread with Silvester , and the bread
said the only baby he had that he tought might be a girl was Daisy
because Daisy was so freindly and never talked . Dead on traits of a female.

Well let me tell Daisy is anything but female .
He's quite the talker very agressive and so freindly it's beyound belief.
He's the family favorit .
Thu quite young just now 8 months old and only half grown up he's everyones buddy .

And lastly came Delilah , she was given to us by a hair dress from Royal oak who raised her from just off the weening time to now being 5 years old .
Delilah pervous owner pampered her. She is very needy , a great flyer and knows her name well.
Of all the birds I have Delilah can got out side with out a harnes nor having her wings cut .
If she does take flieght is breifly and always in a curicle back to your shoulder .
As you can see in the pic below with Daisy she is a beautiful Pearl normal with yellow streaks in her tail feathers that just sets her apart .

Do you know how to handfeed ? if not you need to find out just incase something goes wrong. on 29 july there is a bird show in ann arbor at Webbers. You can go and try to meet others who can help in person if you need it.

The parents could be spooked and stop feeding, the parents could be multilators (bite toes off ect.), Parents might feed only a couple of the babies. If you feed wrong you can kill the babies. If you have problems you might need a Brooder,Scale, Thermometer,Syringe/spoon,Handfeeding formula
and a breeder by you should have this stuff and the experience to help ypu get what you need and help if needed.
