New Here From Louisiana

Hello, I am Kay from southern Louisiana. I am the proud parent of a B&G and two dbl yellowhead amazons. They do keep me very busy. I certantley enjoy there company. I rescued one amazon from a local store and have been working on getting him healthy again. He had been sadly horribly abused for years. He is about 6 now and has a personality. He sings like the radio and talks like women. loll Our other amazon was also neglected as he was left in a cage in a corner for over 6 years. I have them both on routines at the same time every day and night and they are really doing good.
Now for my B&G she is the highlight of our day. although she is a daddys bird she tolerates me. She plays basketball and chases the little dogs around and yes we have a cat that comes in to say hello and quickly leaves as the birds start saying 'here kitty kitty' then he is out of here. But Lou lou is great we both lay in the floor and she does summersalts and back and fourth to the two of us. she has a great vocabulary as the amazons teach her many things.
Hope to learn more from all you out there. I am on line a good part of the day if I am not then I am working with the kids(birds) We have raised our 6 children and couldnt stand the silence so birds have filled a real empty spot for us. We are looking forward to getting more.
