For all birds avoid avacado, any pits, chocolate, caffine and anything you would consider junk food for yourself. I would also stay away from dried fruit, unless you do it. The chemicals that some companies add for preservation can be yucky. I figure also if I wont eat it I wont feed it to Jezzie. And I feed organic veggies and fruits, less chemicals to worry about. Not everyone agrees with that feeding style, but it works for us. Each species will have differenet food standards. I have seen you post in the Amazon section so I also recommend limited amounts of sunflower seeds. Many breeders and vets(not all) say that they are addictive to birds like chocolate is to people and are very fatty. Amazons get fat easily as I am sure other birds do as well. Post the picture that will help all of us. If you go to a bookstore or look online you can find cookbooks for birds that will have lists that are very helpful. Of the ones I have I like "The Healthy Bird Cookbook" by Robin Deutsch. I find it is helpful because it explains why they need things, if their is too much, or too little and what the symptons are. Plus many recipes are easy and Jezz loves them. Many of the recipes can be eaten by my 5 dogs and evn us, if we get over some of the stuff in them. Hope this is helpful.
