My name is Trelaine and I very recently lost my Jenday to a hawk. I'm sure you can all imagine what I'm going through.

I found this board while doing a search on a bird store here in Reno. The name of one of your members (Monica) popped up, and I could see that she still posts here.

Nice to meet you all, now please excuse me while I hunt Monica down and grill her.

I was wondering about Monica's impression of Parrot Connection and Pettin' Place. She was kind enough to email me back. I used to occasionally go to RAAVE meetings if they had an interesting speaker, but never got around to joining. I spoke with the current president yesterday and he convinced me to join, although it's a bit like closing the barn door after the horse has left.

Dennis is the new president! He's been doing a lot of work for the club, particularly with helping find birds homes! I figured that you may have found the forum if you visited Parrot Connection and gotten a BB card!

Sadly, I can't even tell you that! I hardly visit the meetings... either forget, or can't get into town.

Dennis was only recently elected as president, and I'm surprised by the amount of work he's been putting into the club! I'm sure he'll make a HUGE difference! So although I didn't vote for anyone, and I don't know him, I am glad to see him as the president!!!
