Hi, I'm new here.

Hi, my name is Rebecca but I really like to go by Becky. I recently got a Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure and found this board in my search for information about him. I had him sexed so I'm sure he's a boy. My family and I named him Bogart aka Bogiebird. He's beautiful and snuggly. On occasion he bites but I'm learning what not to do (bug him when he's riled or put him on my shoulder) and what to do (watch his body language). I also have four lovely little budgies named Vanity, Fancypants, Skye and Dexter. They are a real hoot to watch and listen to. None of them like to be picked up or touched so I'm doing the very slow getting them used to me and hoping that someday they'll want to come out on my hand and play.
I've been allowed to share my home with a very regal siamese named Kiki, a snuggle kitty named Tinka and a lovely fluffy Turkish Van mix named Leonidas aka Leo. My household is made even noisier by my two energetic little boys.
So, I hope to learn a lot here and maybe make some friends along the way.

Wow...welcome Becky. I am Andrea...nice to meet you. You sure do sound like you have your hands full. I have two birds a sun conure and a budgie, two dogs a chocolate lab and a pekingese, and a mother that I live with or that live with me dependidng on who you ask :)

Welcome Becky. I had a Sun Conure named Rafael, who loved to be played with. But my grandaughter got close to him so he is with her at the moment. He rides around on her shoulder all day. I also have 2 Tiels named Tiki and Tweetybird that keep me busy, a poodle, a Jack Russell, and a big ole yard dog, and 7 horses to keep me company. Where would we be without our animal friends. Welcome to our group and good luck with your Conure.

Becky, welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new too. The people are great. It's nice to have a place where everyone has the same interest. I don't know your experience but my non-Bird friends think I am nuts.

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome. I spent last night just surfing around the different parts of this board and reading. I really like the kind, helpful tone around here. In answer to a previous question my non cat, non bird and non photography friends all think I'm nuts for various rasons. :) Hey, what can I say except I'm me and I know what fits into my life. :)
