hello from northern ireland

hello i'm from county down in northern ireland and am considering purchasing a hand reared conure if my finances will allow. i went into the pet store to buy some fish food and fell in love i visit 3 days out of 7 and each time i go the wee man seems to be getting more used to me and i just hope i can take him home soon.

What type of conure are you looking at? I have a Sun and a budgie...I hope you can get him. They are wonderful birds.

Welcome, yeah do you know what type of conure? They are great birds conures! I have a green cheek and she is just the sweetest!

thanks for the welcome, as embarassed as i am to admit it i'm not really sure what type he is as i always mean to ask but the staff are always busy and then one of my kids starts playing up or i have to run for the bus because time gets away from me when i'm cooing at the little birdy that i've christened Ike even though he's not mine to name.
i hope i can get him

I'm gonna call it as being a GCC. They're pretty much standard in petshops that sell parrots over here in the UK.

i've been in today and he's still there, the shop staff said he is a cinnamon green cheeked conure.

I had a cinnamon, so I'm bias when I say I reckon they are the prettiest. You can expect to pay a little more for him then... I've seen mutations upto around £300.

I hope you manage to get him.
