Welcome to the forum.

I am owned by 2-8 year old Hahn's Macaws that joined us in Oct 07.Along with the rest of the flock they keep our house pretty roudy. All I can say is they surprised me when they got going. They came with a 8 year old Jenday Conure.I hope you enjoy your new baby Hahn's Macaw.

Hi, I have a Hahns also. He is about nine months old. He is a great little guy. I wouldn't call him sweet, he can be a bit of a brat at times, but I am pretty attached to him. Post some pictures when you get a chance. We'd love to see a picture of him.

Hi, I'm another Hahn's owner. My guy is 7 months old, sweet as pie. He has a pretty good vocabulary started too! Just yesterday I discovered that he knows the phrase "c'mere." He's been saying it constantly for two days now! When he learns a new word he says it all the time until he's really got it, then it slacks off some.

I agree with Tom...please post some pics!

I am a future Hahns owner!! I have a deposit on a Hahns chick with a local breeder. They are only about 4-5 weeks old now, and we'll be visiting them for the first time this coming weekend. I plan on as many visits as I can manage (the breeder is about an hour's drive away) until he's weaned and ready to come home.

His (or her) tentative name is Beaker.

I also have a Cockatiel that I've had for 18 years (C.J., Ceej for short)...he is quite cage territorial and doesn't like to come out, but will whistle and kiss you through the cage bars as long as you'll stand there. :) ...And an extremely sweet and cuddly very young Cockatiel (Sam) that we have just had a month or so. Sam just wants to be on a person at all times (preferably having his head skritched) and spends very little time in his cage.

I'm 36 years old, but I grew up in a house with many big birds...two Amazons, a Blue & Gold, a Moluccan, and Paco the Cockatiel, who I got when I was about 10 years old and who recently passed away at the ripe old age of 26.
So I know what to expect!

I've always loved birds, and I can't wait for Beaker to come home!!

I love the name Beaker, but just thought I'd let you know that there's a gorgeous Hahn's Macaw on Youtube called Beaker. He barks and growls and he's so cute I just wanna squooosh him. YouTube - Smart birds may sing, but bad birds bark

If you're big on being really original I thought you'd appreciate knowing there's already a Beaker.
