We are new bird parents. We purchased a four month old African Grey Saturday. She's such a sweetheart but she preens her feathers alot....does anyone know if that is abnormal? We're worried that she is stressed out.

It all depends on what you consider being too much.Some parrots for what ever reason preen a lot and it is normal and then there are those that overpreen or pluck.I have a few of those living with me.If you just recently got her and she appears to be preening a lot I wouldn't worry about it too much because she's in a new home.Congratulation on becoming the parronts of an African Grey.
