Absolutely adorable! I used to have bantam chickens when I was younger, and one even came to the nativity play at church with me, flew to the op of the "stable" and crowed at the appropriate moment - how cook is that?? LOL Are you going to make your chickens house chickens? You know you can get them diapers? http://www.birddiaper.com They make them for parrots, and chickens, ducks, etc. Good luck with them!

more about them purdy silkies

Well, from what I have gathered, they are from the Orient, where they are a delicacy. They are mentioned in the writings of Marco Polo as producing the tastiest eggs. They are quite friendly. I am hoping that I will be able to enter mine into a show or two. I will want to breed for a few hatches if I can. I said in the previous entry that the photo was a parent of mine...I have to correct that... My Husband informed me that it was not a parent of the pair I ordered...but they looked the same. That was my mistake. I am still learning and will pass along photos and information as I have it. I am sooo excited.
Billie

My mother in law had them on her farm. They were adorable. They were not allowed to be around the other chickens. They had a special heated section in the barn. I will try to find a pic I have of them.
