Harley and I are new too
I have a Nanday Conure name Harley. Harley was given to the company I worked for because he was abused (I will explain if anyone ask it is sad) . He was so afraid of all the people looking at him and he jumped every time the time clock clicked. The owner of the company asked if I could keep Harley in my office because he screamed all day. He was not happy camper. He did calm down once in my office. However, it took me 1 ½ years to get him out of his cage and another 3 months to get on my arm. Whew!
After another year Harley became territorial in my office so anytime anyone walked into my office Harley would jump on their head and try to bite them. He would not stop screaming until they left.
So he had to go, said the owner. Guess who now has him now? ME! I have had him how for over 5 years. He is soooo cute, but demanding. Once I brought him home, he refused to go into his case, so the above photo is him getting ready for bed.
I have a question. He has a silver band on his leg. On that band are numbers 09111979 (it is so small that I might be off), but does anyone know what those numbers means or how I can find out? Also, why do some birds have bands and some do not?
I am so glad I got Harley.
