Not so new of a member

Hi All,

I was a member when this board first came out but family and life took me away from the computer for a while. I see the board is bigger and better, Congrats you guys this site look great.

Welcome (back) to the group. You have a beautiful group. I am very fond of exotic looking cats. Yours are very nice. My favorite right now is the Savannah Cat. They're still sort of rare in this country, but gaining popularity. Anyway, welcome and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi Tammy,

Lots of people don't know much about Savannahs. They are really beautiful, wild looking cats. They're a cross between an African Serval and domestic short hair. Since it is illegal to keep Servals in the United States, breeds came up with an alternative. The Savannahs look like Servals, but they're not as big. There can still get big though. I think the largest one registered is 38 lbs. Here's a link to a breeder in Illinois:

As you can see, they can be quite costly. So, it'll be a while before I bring one home.
