Seriel Lovebird Companion for 11 Years!

Lovebirds are the best companions for me. I really enjoy their intelligence and "Big" personalities. I prefer them to humans. My loving companions travel with me and enjoy new places. "Tie-Die" is my sleeping partner and meal time participant which satisfies a longing for company. The only thing that bothers me...s/he yells and shrieks at me when she wants attention and when she knows I am going out. I feel sad about this and ashamed because it probably bothers the neighbors. I tried to explain to Tie-Die that it is really a nuisance and that seemed to work for awhile but now s/he is resuming this rather annoying habit. Any suggestions? Thanks this is a great site. Hope to learn a bit here and there.

I've had problems with morning screaming when I leave for work. Every morning now I give my 2 a warm rigatoni noodle each and it keeps them busy while I leave. Hopefully, by the time they are done they've forgotten to miss me!
I usually cook some noodles on Sunday night and keep them in a bag in the fridge and then run them under hot water to warm them up before handing them over. It is the only time they get that special treat and it really seems to help.
