Welcome. I am also a new member and also from the Daytona Beach Area. You wouldn't happen to deal with Hahn's Macaws or Blue Quakers by any chance? Where are you, at the Flea Market. I go pretty often but have never seen any Birds out there.

We are in Port Orange. I do have one Quaker parrot. I meant we are always looking to buy birds when i said in the market. Not the flea market.Sorry for the confusion. We do breed Blue and Golds but have none at the moment. Do know some local great breeders that i'm sure can help you. One in Ormond and one in edgewater. If you'd like their info please let me know.I'd be glad to help.

Live in Port Orange also. Too Funny. Sorry about the mix up about the flea market. I have been searching for a local breeder with either Blue Quakers or Hahn's Macaw's. I have gotten both of my birds from a local breeder and strongly believe in bonding with you bird at a very early age. I got my quaker for my Birthday last August and helped ween him while he was at the pet store(He is my first bird). My Senegal came home while she was on 3 feedings a day and my wife and I hand fed and weened her. So I like being close to my birds when they are young so I can be part of the process. I would be indebted to you if you could get me with a local breeder of either of those birds. Thanks again.

What a small world. We also hand feed are scarlet and blue and gold from the time they were 12 weeks old. I will contact both breeders tomorrow for i don't know if they have Blue quakers or Hahn's Macaw's. But it would be my pleasure to help. If they have them i'll give you their numbers so you can take it from there. I know they have Greys,Macaws,Eclectus, cockatoos,Conures and many others. These are great people with good prices. I hope i can help...

Good news and bad news. The good news the breeder in Ormond does have both Blue Quakers and Hahn's Macaws. The bad news no babies at this time. It also will be no problem getting these birds with 3 weeks left on the weening. These people are great and my first choice. So i didn't contact the Edgewater breeder at this point. They do have Scarlet babies available now. And i think cockatoos and conures. I hope this helps.

Oh thats awesome! Thank you so much. Please just let me know when they have some babies. I was thinking about steeping up to a larger Parrot. I'm just not sure I'm ready for something as large as a Scarlet yet, I'm kinda new to the world of birds. I have only had my Quaker for about a year now and my Senegal for about 4 months. A Scarlet is alot bird! Just not sure if I'm ready for that big of a jump just yet. Might consider an Eclectus though. What do you think about Eclectus's? Don't happen to know anyone that has Ecies? Thanks again!

I can understand your concern with the large parrot. We personally like the large parrots.
They are very loud at times and destructive. We are only 4 years into the bird world ourselves. Our first being a sun conure. I think our Blue and golds are going to nest soon. Yes i know they have Eclectus parrots but not sure about babies i will check today. I never had an Eclectus.I think they are beautiful and great talkers. All our birds speak including the conure. We did get are scarlet from this breeder He is awesome and the parents are from Busch Gardens. They are very reasonably priced on all thier birds. I will get a full run down today on all available babies today. Thanks

Didn't forget. My wife and i are going to the Ormond Breeders on Sunday. We are going for outdoor fencing for our Macaws. At that time i can get a real good look at what they have and prices.I know the scarlet babies are going for 800.00. That may help in comparsion pricing on the Hahn's. Hope this helps..
