Hello, from sunny New Mexico!
I just wanted to introduce myself and my new baby Blue and Gold macaw Hunter. Glad to be here, and I can see there is a wealth of info here. I also have a 5 yr old Blue Crowned Conure named Sparky....
Here is a pic of Hunter at 8 weeks....

Thanks for the great responses! Hunter is not home yet, he is now 11 weeks old and weighs 1175 grams...(he's gonna be a good size B&G) I do get to visit with him every day, so we are bonding very nicely. This is the latest pic of him, taken yesterday....

 hope you'll like it here as i'd love to see photos of hunter growing up....where in NM are you located if you don't mind me asking. i get down to santa fe every now and then, and always stop at feathered friends...
