Hello from North Texas

Hi ya'll! Sorry, had to say that comin' from Texas but we're from N. CA and been here in TX for 11 yrs so no southern drawl from us (most of the time ;) lol)

I haven't really lurked on the site yet and still need to do a search on preening (lack thereof) before posting but thought I'd do an intro first.

As you see in my siggy, we have Jade and Harley. Jade, being a zon, has a Miss I-am-bigger-than-you-and-my-way-or-the-highway 'tude. Her squawking is driving my dh insane and is threatening to rehome her. Funny (ok, not so funny) when she always sqawks when he's on conference calls. She likes to walk around the house, climb on the dog crates, bite dog tails, bite dog noses, bite Harley, she hates showers, hates baths, calls herself a 'good girl', thinks Harley's name is "step up""step up", blames things on him by sounding like him, then plays nice by saying "hello" and acting like it wasn't her and she loves to dance on my computer monitor.

Harley is a big feathered baby and definitely a mama's boy. He refuses to say words except his "name"="step up" so far. He self weaned a month ago after spitting his hand feed formula all over the cubbards, walls, counter, me and the floor. He can walk up the stairs but not down the stairs. He likes to play "tickle feet" with me and will plop over onto his back and 'attacking' my hand with his mouth and feet as he does his little laughing sound. He's so silly. He's looking pretty ratty right now with molting and lack of preening himself. He likes to sit on my computer monitor but Jade won't let him. Then he tries to eat her. But she won't let him.

Anyway, that's a little about my fids. I am a SAHM, married 15 yrs, 3 kids- 11 yr old son and 4 year old boy/girl twins.

:)

My flock likes to "talk" when I am on conference calls too! I have learned to keep them out of range (though folks who know me well can tell it is not just the wild birds chirping.... very few of them say I LOVE YOU! and make kissy noises)
