Hello,Iam new

Hello,My name is Kim and I have a 4 year old B&G macaw.I got her in June of 2004.I was told then that she was 3 so I just figure by now she must be 4.
She is now very attached to me.When we got her we were telling a friend of ours how much I had always wanted a parrot. He knew a guy that had one that he didn't want.We went to meet the parrot and she was living in her cage in a outside shead.I said we would take her cause I had already been doing research on Macaws and knew that they need lots of love and attention. They need to be treated like a small child.
So we brought my new bird home. She must have sinced she was bought for me cause before the first week was up she was bonded with me and had tried to feed me.She will still do that if I am gone for a few hours and then come home.

Hello Kim,

welcome to BB, I look forward to hearing more about you and your BG. We also LOVE pics, so if you have some, please post. I also wanted to thank you for getting that bird out of the shed. I just don't understand how people can be so mean. It's good to know she's in a loving home now.

Hello Kim. Glad to see you here. I can't believe this poor girl was living in a shed! That guy needs to be arrested! My stomach is turning.
Glad to hear you were able to save her. She sounds like she is so happy. Too cute that she is feeding you.
