Hello from Oregon

Hello Everyone. Although I joined a while back, I have not had a chance to do anything with my membership. So, I am basically a new member still. We have lots of birds here at our house (along with other animals), but my two faves are my 3 year old Goffin named Star and my 19 yr old DYH Amazon named Pokeeto. I am just interested in finding new friends associated with birds in general and I am always open for help and information concerning God's wonderous feathered friends. Once a year, my husband and I also put on a Bird Awareness show in the local mall to try and promote bird awareness and education. Our main focus is to try and connect current bird owners with new information, to connect them with other bird owners, and to promote "research before you purchase" awareness so that people may start a relationship with the type of bird that best suits thier personality and expectations. I look forward to being a part of this group along with the other groups on msn and yahoo that I belong too.
