Welcome Becky Rae:
I also have a female Eclectus named Mai Tai. Are they more common in the midwest? I almost never see Ekkies on the east coast, but notice that many seem to turn up in Minnesota, Indiana and Idaho. THE OUTLAW

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! To answer a few questions: Eclectus are not really that common around here either- i dont know any who have one and have only heard of 2 others around my area (there has to be more though) Most ppl are like "you have a what?!?" Lol and i reply "a big red chicken". I also have many other pets including lizards. The pic was taken in my chinese water dragon, Booger's, cage. She was only there temporarly and he's small and calm and didn't seem to mind a parrot on his branch! I have had Eekie for almost 6 months or so now (wow, its been that long?!) but known her for almost a year. Shes almost 1 1/2 yrs old. ...and shes my baby.... Its amazing how attatched you can get to an animal.

Almost neighbor
Hello almost neighbor, we are from Missouri across the border from you all!! We run a rescue for birds and reptiles and think it is great to find someone on here with the same types of interests. I work with a lot of bird owners and prospective bird owners around and actually don't know any other eclectus owners in the area. I do know others with water dragons though LOL!! So hello and nice to see you here!
