Feel kind of silly

My name is Matt, from NJ. The reason I feel silly, is that I am on this site, I have a cage and toys and I don't even have my bird yet lol. Hell, I even named him/her already...Maximus. I have wanted another bird for a while, and have decided on a parrotlet. All the research I have done on these little beauties says they are big birds at heart. I thought naming it after a gladiator would be very fitting, and funny as hell too. So hello to everyone.

I bought a $600 cage for $200 at a bird fair in 1998. I JUST put a bird in that particular cage this year. And I am 35 years old. Feel better? LOL

Atleast you are patient. I think its very commendable that you are taking your time to educate yourself. I wish more people would take the time to read up on the particular species that they are interested in. Well, on that note when Maximus comes home.... please post some pics! Welcome to the board.

Picking up Maximus in about 2 hours. Breeder called to say he was ready, eating seed, veggies, eggs, etc. I can't wait.

How cool, I love the way parrotlets look, soo cute.
I already have a name picked out for my next bird (either a Derbyan or a sunconure)too and I dont even have a cage yet.
