Hello New B&G Macaw owner

Hello everyone my name is Whalen, I am a proud new parent of a 5 week old baby Macaw named Cirala (Sir-a-la) I have had Cirala for a little over a week and he ( for now its a he) is doing great, very consistent weight gain and very active and a happy bird. I have many pictures I will post them sometime soon, look forward to getting to know everyone here.

Hi Whalen! I'm Meredith and I've just become a new B&G parent too, but my baby is going to stay and hand feed with the breeder until he/she is weaned. My baby's name is Tiku and I can't wait until I get to bring him home...I'm already stocking up on tons of toys! LOL!

Thanks Meredith! How old is your new fid? I tell you getting them once they are weened is probably the best move....such a handful! Plus I have to change the bedding everyday, to me it is worth it to experience this bonding with my new family member, and allow him to get used to me.
