Hello everyone!
HI!
I'm new to the neighborhood and just wanted to say hello. My name is Meredith and I've just become "mom" to a baby B&G Macaw! He/she is still handfeeding at the breeder and won't be ready to come home until late October or November, but I'm soooooo excited  The breeder is awesome and is keeping me updated with photos, which I MUST share  so be prepared! His/Her name is Tiku (I made the name up as a kid....I have no idea if it means anything LOL!).I hope to get a chance to know everyone and your babies!

hello welcome.and congrats.....
i am the mom to a budgie.. soon on e of these days i will get a larger bird. i had a cockatiel named tookie but was allergic to the down so found a great new mom for tookie... cant wait to see the pixz of tiku...

Thanks everyone for the kind welcome! I uploaded 3 of the photos I have of Tiku in his photo album. I'm not sure how to post pictures in a thread or if I even can?
Huntress, your "zoo" sounds just about like mine! LOL!

Welcome to the board. You'll find so much helpful information here! All of my books on parrots pale in comparison to what I've learned on BB. I have a 4 month old b&g macaw named Papaya. I'd love to see pics of yours!

Welcome. If you have a photobucket account it is very easy to post pics. You just copy the web address for that pic and place it in the thread with clicking on the little square that has a mountain on it. Photobucket will have 4 different possible web addresses. I use the second one down. And then you can post pics all the time and make us very happy!!

You guys have gorgeous birds!!!! Chris, thanks for the help with the photo question! Pita looks like my Jingles, who is a normal grey cockatiel. I'm going to try to post a picture of Tiku on this message, so don't laugh if it doesn't work! LOL!
Amy, Papaya is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiku was hatched on 6/8/08 so he's (or she's) just a couple of months younger than your baby.
