I just bought a wonderful cag named Teiki, she has added so much joy to my home. I am a first time bird owner and will probably need some help answering questions from time to time. She is only 14 weeks old so she and I are gonna have a chance to grow old together. She has already learned to step up and step down. And really loves trying to find the peanuts i hide in her cage. Well thanks to all who dedicate there time to try and help new comers like myself to get familiar with owning a parrot.

Welcome to you and Teiki. Congratulations on your new baby. She's so young and I'm sure just adorable.
Your going to meet some wonderful people here. With this being your first bird, I'm sure your going to have a lot of questions. Just post em here and you'll get some great advice. I know I have.

Welcome to BirdBoard!! Teiki must be so adorable...hope to see some pics! I have a cag (Willow) who is almost 11 months old and a lovebird named Mango. Enjoy your grey while he/she is still a baby and make sure you take lots of pictures!! Look forward to the many fun-filled years you will have together!

Hello and welcome to you and Teiki!! African Greys happen to be my favorite of all birds. I'm not owned by any YET, but that's going to change soon. (i hope)

Like others have said, I'm sure you'll have some good questions with this being your first bird (by the way, GREY'T choice!!). Please don't think that any of your questions are dumb, there's no such thing. We are all very pleased to help.
