New here and new to "big" birds

Hello,
I am new to this board and also new to the larger birds as well. I used to breed and hand raise Green cheek conures in the normal and cinnamon mutations and Indian Ringnecks in the Lutino, Albino, and cremino mutations. It got to be to much work for me and I decided to stop breeding - I know some people really don't like the thought of others rehoming there animals, but the breeding was to much work for me and they all got wonderful homes, so I believe I made the right decision.

Anyway, after deciding to no longer breed I knew I couldn't live without birds, so I decided to get 2 birds that will be spoiled pets and have a forever home with me. I know have an Amazon and an African grey - they are both still with the breeder, but will be ready to come home in 2-4 weeks.

I am very happy and excited about there arrival and in the mean time I have just been getting the house, there cages, and play area ready for them.

I am new to the larger species of parrots, so will probably have a lot of questions over time. I truly hope to meet some nice bird people on this board and hopefully become friends with some of you.

congrat.....on your new birds i have 3 birds 2 are indian ring necks and 1 rainbow lory they are awsome birds i love them 2 girls and 1 male welcome to the board.......

As a fellow grey and zon owner, I look forward to hearing your stories and experiences! I have met many nice people on here and I always get an answer to any question I have (no matter how silly it is!). Thank you all for the wonderful welcoming!! I forgot to add that I also have 3 dogs, 2 horses, 4 bettas, and a 30 gallon fresh water tank. I am not just a bird lover, but an all around animal lover. I would definitely be lost without the dogs, horses, and birds.

Ohhh another farm person! We also have 8 sheep, one horse, two goats, a ton of chickens, three ducks, four dogs, two cats, three fish tanks, a hedgehog... and of course the birdies!
