Hello Everyone, I'm new and joined to try to find help for my 3 y.o. male scarlet that continually plucks himself raw! Looks terrible and I've tried every kind of spray, toy, attention giving ploy around. Any advice? ALSO would love to buy a reasonable FEMALE SCARLET age 6+.

Hi Mike
The first thing you should do is take your bird to an avian savvy veterinarian for testing to rule out physical/medical problems that could be causing your bird to pluck, and then start to work on changing the behavior before it becomes habit. I would like to suggest a book by Mattie Sue Athan called "Guide To A Well Behaved Parrot" which is extremely helpful in understanding bird behavior so you can modify unwanted behaviors.
