Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! I live in Fairfax, VA. I'm going to buy a Black Capped Conure within 2 days! I want to know everything there is to know about them!

Welcome!

I don't know anything specifically about the black capped variety but conures as a species are little turkeys who think they are bigger than any other thing out there! LOL My Tuck Tuck will chase off anything... dogs, cats, other birds much much bigger than him... but he's the biggest love bug of them all and is always ready to fly to my shoulder and give me snuggles. Wouldn't trade him for any bird in the world (today anyway LOL)

We had a black capped at the store I work in (Petsmart). He was such a character! He would "play dead" with one eye open so we would go rushing in to check on him...then it was time to play! :)
