Hey, I'm Michelle or "Meesh"

Hey guys. I'm Michelle but more preferably, Meesh. I'm 16 and I found this bird board while I was looking for green cheeks for sale.. I've been searching for months. But you guys know how hard it is to move onto a new bird when you're still grieving. I just can't seam to let myself get another, in fear that I'll compare a new one too much to Luna (my GC that died).

I have one parakeet. His name is Waldo and I adopted him from Petco. He really isn't that fond of me.. but he'll step up on my hand if I go slow enough and I tell him it's alright..

That's why I want another GC. I miss having that bond with a bird. Luna went absolutely everywhere with me on my shoulder. I've taken her through hiking trails, on car rides, to dunkin donuts, to BJ's, friend's houses.. & camping (that's where the accident happened..). Ahg - sorry guys, it's just she's pretty much on my mind all the time.

Kind regards,
Meesh

Sorry for your loss. When you are reay you should look at local rescues in your area. I have three birds I am fostering for beak-n-wings b.r. . best thing you could do. It would help you and the bird you decide to share your home with.

I was definitely considering adopting as an option. I went to the CT parrot adoption site a couple times, but I'm really set on getting a conure or smaller, and they had larger birds when I looked.

But you're right, I need to look harder and in differnet places, and stop making excuses. ;)
