Hi, new from MD

Hi Everyone,
I am a newly joined member from Maryland. I have had my allergies really acting up this weekend, plus I am out of allergy meds so that could be the problem, needless to say I couldn't sleep so I decided to browse the net looking at bird sites and I came across this one. I had a look around and you all seem like a very friendly bunch of people, so I decided to join and be apart of this board and hope to meet some new friends along the way. I have one very sweet and lovable female Congo AG that is just about 4 1/2 months old. Anyway, I thought I would say hi and introduce myself.

Hello. I hope your allergies improve. Do you have an air cleaner for the room where you keep your Grey? Sometimes they can make a big difference for people with allergies. Just make sure you don't get one that says it is an 'ionizer'.

Welcome to the board. Tell us more about your little girl and we'd love to see pictures if you have any to post.

Thank you all for the warm welcome - I look forward to getting to know you all and your birds along with sharing stories about my baby.

Tom - as far as my allergies go, they are not bird related. I have had allergies my whole life which are not just seasonal, but they are year round allergies. I am allergic to so many things that I forget half of what I am allergic to - my allergy meds, help wonders though and usually do not suffer much if at all with them. Unfortunately, I ran out of my allergy meds on Thursday and forgot to get more - I can be kind of forgetful at times and without them my symptoms just flared up. I am back on my meds and much better now.

Geek - I actually don't have any photos of my girl on the computer, but I will take some and load them on the computer, probably tomorrow.

Ozzy - I am in the other direction of you in Montgomery County - I am about 15 minutes from Washington DC depending and which part and traffic. I'm not to far from Southern MD, but just not right around the corner. I love Southern MD though, it is very beautiful out there.
