He is adorable! His name is definitely unique. Congrats on the new family member. You bought 3 cages? Who's getting the upgrade?

Dude looks great. How old is he? He looks to be a youngster yet. You will have a great time with the little nut.

Congratulations. I don't think I even knew that this guy was being considered. You pulled a fast one.

i think i didnt want to admit to myself that i had found him because i was so excited lol
i didnt want to jinx it
i had actually JUST found the ad on kijiji (Sp)
the night before (thursday night)

i think it was meant to be that i got him because he was listed a few weeks back and someone actually bought him...then two days later they brought him back saying he didnt like the wife LOL

so she had just put the ad back up on the 7th and i happened to find it
i knew instantly when i met him that he was coming home with me!

so sweet
so talkative LOL
though i cant understand everything he says yet
they called him Jude but I like The Dude better and I figure dude sounds so much like jude he wont care lol

they got him in march as a newly weaned baby...so i estimate he is almost a year old now...

illl go start a new thread about the trip to cage world
we were there for like 3-4 hours!

Dave had more red on his wing pits at one year so I would bet he might be even a little younger. These guys wean young, at least Davey did, so if they got him in March he might have been born in January. I'm no expert on this but Dave's was born in September and I brought him home the week before Thanksgiving.

Some days Dave's words are clear, others not so much. Even on the best of days he still has the little squeaky Hahns voice. He is funny though and you will find him anticipating what you are going to say and saying it himself (like step-up, even when you are talking with your other birds).

I realize I asked questions that were already answered in your first post. I'm not always real sharp.

Good luck. The Dude sounds great.

Hahns people really are the coolest (yes, I live vicariously through my association with my parrots). Welcome to the club.
