Wink New Ringneck dove owner and have 5 tiels

Hi every body. I am new to this chat and am excited to be here. I have 5 tiels that i have had since November of last year. And the bird club just recently gave me pair Ring Neck Doves and I need as much info as I can find on ring neck doves. They are close to a year and I know nothing about doves. What kind of toys do they like and I know that they need fresh fruit and veggies daily and seed i have figured out. I had them less then 24/7 and already love them. They are healthy so that is in my favor. Thank you for being there for me so i can learn all i can about birds. I love them. Sef

Welcome Sef:

Glad you decided to join us here. Sounds like you have a lovely flock. I have no personal knowledge of ringnecks other than they are very pretty, but I'm sure someone will soon see your post and respond.

Ok presumming they are male and female. If they are 2 males seperate them they will fight to th death. If 2 female sthey will either try to mate each other or fight over nest. Ok if you have females especillay one that doesn't have male mix parakeet seed with th grit ( for digestion for all bird one that has calcium in it) to prven t her from egg binding. If you have a male and female a hard cardboard box attched to bottom of cage ( attched to bars) make sure it is at botem of cage on ground (attched though) because they will mate in both and it can fall or they can get injured if not secured to bottom of cage. Egg can fallout and break to. e0mail me at angel19902_76@msn.com anytime and i will give you more info
That prefer a n open nest no nesting boxes no canary bnest use hay ans bedding for nest ( straw kind)

Thank for your response. I am just happy i was able to give them a good home. The owner didn't want them any more so bird club called my friend and she knew where to take them. Named them Romeo and Juliet they are at least 2 years old. Thanks again, Sef
