Hi we're new.
My name is Magdalena and I live in Central NY with my 2 year old CAG, Little Bird (whose original name was N'kisi but who has decided to rename herself), a working line German Shepherd named Rommel and 5 cats (most of whom were abandoned and bottle fed by me-something I try to volunteer to do every summer, rearing, spaying and neutering and rehoming abandoned litters).
I am also going to be the proud mom of a 6 month old male Umbrella Cockatoo in less than two hours! Having fallen in love with a boarding 'U2 at a bird store I've spent the last two years reading on the pros and cons of the species and the fear and wonder they instill in their human companions so I think (and with Little Bird's help in breaking me in to larger parrot care) I know what I'm getting into. Looking forward to the rollercoaster ride and happy to be here.
