New to BirdBoard

Hello all, I am from Milwaukee Wi. I have a wonderful Cockatiel and a crazy, wonderful, smart and sassy Quaker. I wish I had "stumbled" on this before I am surprised it didn't come up on any search engines in all the time I "surf" till today..but luck stikes today :).

I am doing my research on the next bird I would like to purchase ~ I am still not sure which bird would be best for my home and all. So this board has really been a great reference already. I am thinkin either a Too or a grey or an Electus...I have to study more. At least this studying is fun.

Thanks much and I look forward to learning more..here is a picure of my Quaker "Mejo". (If I attached it correctly that is :))

Kristy

Thanks much

Funny, of all people to say "helloo" it is you, as I found your quote earlier today so wonderful (at the end of your treads) as I wandering my way around the site...I love it and have printed about 10 copies to share with my friends !!!

I take it you have or like Macaws??

Hello Kristy. Welcome to bb. So your thinking about a too, grey or eclectus? What kind of too are you thinking of? Just curious. Here's a photo of my baby.

Thinkin' so much it hurts!!

Thanks for the welcome,

I have been reading so much as of late I am completely confused or maybe it's clear..I'm not sure. But I think a smaller Too or maybe ??? You have an Umbrella??? I guess after reading so much and because I want to be the best birdy mommy, I am still thinkin' over getting a bigger bird than my Quaker. I hear such horror stories, I do not want that to happen to me. So it's workin' I am rethinkin' it all. Maybe I'll stay with the "shorties", I really can't imagine getting more love from a bird than she gives me already. They ask so little for all the love she gives me.....the Quaker now he's feisty and loveable in a different way.
Then again, I think I could see myself with another bird.....I'll keep reading:)

Yes, I have an Umbrella that will be turning 1 year old in about 2 weeks. He's such a cutie patootie but a lot of work. Well, I wouldn't consider it work, but you have to work with them a lot and it eats up a lot of my day.
Your right, if you are thinking about a too, please do a lot of research first and make sure you have the time.

Welcome spinnergirl! I am a new Quaker Mom and have had my tiels for a few years. Do your birds play together? I would say that size wise-maybe a conure for your next bird? Last Sunday, though the little Quaker stole my heart, there were a couple Sun Conures that could easily have come home with me. Birds are addicting!
