Hi from Virginia (southeastern)

I have posted a couple of posts, and going through some of the posts I realized how many people are fairly local to where we are....how cool!! Other bird crazy people! That's awesome cause our family thinks we're nuts LOL.

Anyways my name is Angela, I'm married w/2 non furred and feathered kids ages 8 and 10. Our feathered and furred family members are as follows;

DOGS
2 Australian shepherds (Sierra and Dakota--Sierra being our old lady of 14 yrs), a standard poodle (Onyx), and a Boxer (Roxy)

2 Barn Kitties --Camie and Scooter

1 very old hedgehog of 6 yrs-Issiah

3 Horses-Angel-Kentucky Mountain Horse
Dusty-mountain Pleasure
Sampson 18+ hand Percheron

my sons have 2 parakeets a blue named Sky and a green named Grass--I joke and say together we have the horizon. LOL

I have a 6 year old (we think) rescued Timneh african grey named Sterling
and I have a deposit on a Timneh that gets to come home this week..I am sooo excited.

Hubby had a wonderful Sunday conure (jenday-sun cross) named Skittles--We came home one day almost 2 years ago to find Skittles deceased in the bottom of his cage.....it was the most heartwrenching thing we loved that klittle stinker so much....since then hubby has shown no interest in other birds. UNTIL we went into a store and I found my little Timneh--well hubby decided to play with the big macs, something about one of them drew him in---and he fell in love with what they called a Ruby GoldWing, he spent hours with it. The next weekend we went to visit my little one, and he went directly to the macs to see the little hybrid, I had to see how much this little guy cost cause I could see in hubbies eyes he was smitten--unfortunately it was all ready sold, just waiting to wean.....I was floored when they told me he had been named Skittles---how very ironic. So now I'm tring to locate a sweet Harlequin for him, though I have heard good things about miligolds as well.

Anywhooo, I'll have to see if I can figure out posting pics from a hosting site, on here, cause I have some I can share. LOL

I have a Miligold, shes awesome. We re-homed her and have had her for about a year now. There is another local pet store that has two Milis that are about 5-6 months old.
