Smile Hi from me max and the family

Hi im simon i live in Birmingham England with my B&G Macaw Max he is unsexed and i was kinda thrown in to it, Im an animal lover at heart and usually kept my interests to dogs and reptiles
I have 3 dogs an iguana a cat 2 water dragons a basalisk a rat snake 2 rats and a cat and my B&G MAX he is about 4 years old and belonged to a friend of a friend he was in an awful state and although I had no experience in Macaws I went against all advise and paid a large ransome to rescue him. His feathers were all dry and out of shape he plucked he scremaed he bit but sheesh u only at to look at him and it was love at first sight. I have had Max 6 months now and he loves his daddy i can ( me only at the moment but he gets better with other ppl by the week) touch him and pet him all over he still gets a lil mad sometimes but his painful bites have turned in to dont do that nips. Im always looking for new hints and tips for instance he hates water and showering/ misting really stresse him out. I tried clicker training and he just laughs at me any way thats enough of a novel here is a before and now pic of him. Really glad I have found this site!
