HI! Newbie to birds :)

Hello! I'm new to the forum and birds. We are going to an expo next week to pick up our first bird. We are thinking of a Quaker. Big bird in a small package type of thing. I long searched far and wide for a tame budgie but to no avail. My husband decided he wanted a louder talker though I'm still unsure. I went to see a popular breeder in the area to look at the Quakers and I fell in love with one 9 weeks old. He is beautiful and very interested in interacting and was just weened and put onto seed I guess. Anyway, the cage aggression quaker thing has me a bit skeptical which I was going to start a thread about to get some opinions on that. I noticed the breeders smoke which I didn't like much. I was going to wait until the expo to see where I wanted to get one from. Anyway, glad I found y'all
