Welcome to the board!

I am the proud new owner of a Green Cheek Conure and let me tell you, I AM IN LOVE! I have worked with them before, but usually older neglected birds... I've never bonded with one and had one all to myself (well, im forced to share with the boyfriend too LOL). I think the Sun Conure is a great choice! I also think they are the most beautiful of the conures (I also love Pineapple Green Cheeks too, just way too expensive hehe). I live an apartment, and with the Sun Conure's loudness, there was no way I would get away with it.

But I am jealous of you! lol, congrats!

Thanks everybody. Unfortunately I have not been able to bring him home yet. The job my husband was suppose to get after moving down here fell through. But not to worry, it wont be too much longer, He has finally gotten a job . So hopefully we'll be able to bring him home soon! We go to visit him as often as we can!

Welcome Barbara. I have a sun conure and I adore her. (well we never had her DNA sexed but we still call it a her) They are gorgeous and yes they can be very, very loud but they are also very, very funny and sweet and loving!!! I have had mine since she was 3 months old and I would not trade her for anything in the world!!!! Hopefully you will get yours very soon!!!
