Talking Hello Everyone from Crazzy for Yager

Hi, I am the most proud owner of a Cockatiel named yager, for my favorite shot. My daughter bought him for me the day my business burned down and a month after the sudden loss of my mother, it even gets worse but I won't go there, all I know is that yager saved my life. I cry now with the joy this bird has brought to my life. I was never a pet owner, well fish and a turtle or two, I do live in the bayou's of Louisiana. I was assured he was a she, though as she matures, shes a he. I cannot start to express the love between us. My family is assured NOW that I am nuts. He goes everywhere with me. He's the cock of the walk around here. He's my master I believe.
I am glad to find a forum in which to inquire about any questions or concerns I may come across concerning Jager.
Thank you for accepting me and hope to share some great stories or pics.
Thank You Again,
Crazzy for Jager,

Welcome to the forum. I Have a budgie named Aruba and I never thought I could love a bird so much. Birds do tend to steal our hearts once we have them :. I am so happy that you have the perfect bird for you. Be careful birds do become addicting . If it wasn't for my husband I would probably have at least 20 birds by now. I am so happy you and Yager have become great friends. I am so sorry for your losses you have suffered, I am happy your daughter got you Yager when you needed him the most. You may not know this but animals sense when we are sad or in pain and they do try to help us feel better. Yager sounds like such a sweet little boy, who came into your life that the perfect time. Congrats on becoming owned by a bird !! Can't wait to hear all the stories you have to share and see pictures of your beautiful Yager.

Thank you for your kind letter. lI am still spreading the good word of bird owners.
I just had to clip his wings. it was a bitter sweet moment. I enjoyed seeing him mature and explore his natural progression into adulthood. However;we all know that can't be possible for all owners. We live in tight quarters, and also I feared for his safety and well being. He pouted for a day, but we're back to buds.I wish I had more trees around the house so he could hear and mimic them. His library or lack of should I say is becoming
tedious. And I am not a good whistler. So I am looking forward to introducing yager to some new tunes.

Welcome to the site. Birds and other animals do have a way of worming their way into our hearts and helping to heal. They are amazing and yes they are addictive. I started with one tiel 2 years ago and I now have six birds. Both my tiels are girls so they make noise and that is it, my daughters male tiel whistles. Here is a site that should help with your issue. I cant whistle at all.
