Future Parottlet Mom??

[Bird Mom]

Hi all you bird lovers. I am the proud mom of a sweet little canary boy who will be 2 years old in July. He was a Christmas gift from my husband in 2003. The previous February we had had to give up two beautiful cockatiels because they were too noisy for the apartment and my elderly husband's nerves (He is 85 I am 63). Danny Boy and Cindy now reside in Denver with the nephew of my best friend there, an 11 year old boy who adores the birds and they make sure he does his homework. I miss those birds horribly, but Sunny Boy has made his place in my heart. My hobbies are genealogy, quilting, reading, and watching the wild birds in the trees outside our breakfast window. Right now we are watching a nest of robins and are waiting for the babies to fledge, hoping we get to see that. I am considering a parrotlet, and will speak to that on that forum. It is so wonderful to find forums with like-minded people.

My parrotlet isn't too noisy, the loudest thing he does is bang his bell against the bars of his cage when he wants a bit of whatever it is we're eating.
