Hi Newbie from Malta

Hi everyone I am new here. My name is Simon from Malta. I am 38 and have just bought A lovely Yellow Indian Ringneck which we named KIKI. He is 7 weeks old and hand fed.

My only concern is since i brought him home on Thursday, he has not been himself. He is sleeping all day and can hardly bother to eat. I am handfeeding him and yesterday evening he ate quite a bit only to bring it up the next day.

When he is asleep he is quite puffed up, is this normal?

Can anyone offer any advice, In my past years I had the misfortune of losing a Mollucan only after 10 days and i would not like the same thing to happen to this poor bird too.

Maybe you should take him into the vet? Being as he's still handfeeding he probably needs medical checkup

Welcome to Bird Board! I would definately seek veterinarian help. Being puffed is frequently a health problem.
